When I saw #RIPNickCanon floating around on Twitter I legit thought Nick Cannon was dead. So, I was surprised to see the hashtag was trending because he recently released two tracks dissing Eminem and they just weren’t good. We’ll get into that in a minute. But let’s take second to delve into their relationship and figure out why are these two are beefing.

2009

Eminem released Bagpipes and Baghdad where he raps lines like, “Mariah, what’s ever happened to us, why did we have to break up?” and “Nick Cannon better back the f*ck up / I’m not playin’, I want to bag ya punk”

It was very aggressive and obviously Nick Cannon, who was still married to Mariah Carey at the time, had to reply. He wrote a since-deleted piece on Tumblr titled “How Cute.” He said:

I’m taking full action on you Eminem. I don’t know why no one has stood up to your bitch ass yet. But I guess it’s going to take a corny, wack rapping, boy toy from Nickelodeon to set you straight. And trust, I am going to be relentless. Even though I got a lot of other obligations and occupations, you are my new full time job ‘homey’!

I asked myself should I go find this B*tch and just whoop his little ass? Let’s not forget about Eminem’s amateur mixtape rants of calling African Americans Nig*er and how he hates “Black B*tches”. How did we let him get away with that in the first place?! He is a natural born racist in disguise. Someone tell this coward that he finally barked up the wrong tree…

This is my invitation to you, whenever and wherever you like sir. So when you come out of your introverted hiding place and ask your bodyguards if you can go out and play by yourself, I’m here Pimp!

So, yeah. Not long after Nick’s rant, Mariah released her song “Obsessed” which everyone (and by everyone I mean me) speculated was about Eminem running his mouth.

Eminem was not a happy camper and released “The Warning” not long after. He went in and replied to Nick’s Tumblr message as well as the “Obsessed” music video. He was not playing.

a bunch of time passed and it seemed as though the fued had ended.

Mariah and Nick get divorced *tear

September 18, 2019

And then all of a sudden the beef got stirred back up when Nick appeared on T.I.’s Expeditiously podcast back in September. Nick detailed a letter he sent Eminem after Eminem released the first diss track. “I think he’s one of the greatest to ever do it…but you talking out of pocket about my wife. For that, I need to see you face to face.” He admitted that he might not be able to outrap Eminem (with good reason) but was confident in his ability to fight. Nick went looking for Eminem but never found him, so yeah, nothing ever happened.

Nick told T.I. that Eminem ended up apologizing and the beef was squashed.

December 5, 2019

Fast forward to December and Eminem hopped on a track with Fat Joe, Dre and Mary J. Blige titled “Lord Above” where he continued the beef. Eminem raps, “I know me and Mariah didn’t end on a high note / But that other dude’s whipped, that pu*sy got him neutered. He goes on, “I let her chop my balls off too ‘fore I lost to you, Nick”.

I guess Nick was in his feelings and decided to reply to the diss track by firing back with an Instagram post that said: @FatJoe album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Star-studded, he even did some charity work and dug @Eminem out his grave I mean cave!! LOL FLAM FLAM! BLAM BLAM! NICK CANNON!! Bring your Ass to @MTVWILDNOUT to Battle like a real legend Grandpa Marshall!!

And the funniest part of this story is that Nick Cannon came out of rap retirement to diss Eminem. What’s even better is he brought Suge Knight (who is literally incarcerated) in on this mess. Suge pulls a Mariah “I don’t know her” moment in the song’s intro where he is recorded from prison talking about Eminem. He said: “Listen up Eminem / Whatever your name is right?” Like, come on, man. You know who Eminem is. You’re literally taking what’s probably your only call for the day to call NICK CANNON, of all people, to talk ish about Eminem. You know who he is lol. I just thought the whole audio recording was hilarious. Nick Cannon’s bars couldn’t hold up on their own so he had to bring in Suge. Whatever, I guess.

Eminem responded on Twitter

And just when we thought 50 Cent was comfortable on the set of his TV show, Power, the man surprised us and jumped in on this rap “beef“. He replied, saying: “I don’t understand to save my life why someone would pick a fight with EM. He is a different kinda animal, I haven’t seen a motherfucker come close to beating him man. 😠hey Nick that sh*t was trash, I oughta kick you in yo ass when I see you PUNK!”

Somehow Nick Cannon found new collaborators to help him out with another track. He released “Pray For Him” as another attack on Eminem. The song features The Black Squad and I am not gonna lie to you, I do not know who these people are but apparently they have beef with Eminem too because they contributed some pretty dirty verses. None of them are good but go ahead and listen for yourself.

That’s all the tea for now but I’m sure one of the involved parties will have a reply sooner than later. And to be honest this seems so fake. Why all of a sudden are they bringing up old beef? My thoughts are because Eminem hasn’t released anything good that wasn’t detailing his political hatred for Trump and Nick Canon’s rap career… well let’s just say he’s really good at hosting stuff because that man hasn’t rapped anything or told a decent joke relevant in over a decade.

I love both parties, but come on this is obviously for publicity. They are probably on the phone laughing about this right now.
