Dearest Readers,
Ever since the Duke rode in on his horse, I literally stopped paying attention to the other character’s storylines. Like, I realize Daphne had siblings but like, I couldn’t tell you one thing that happened to them in the first season. Bridgerton is based on books and Regé was only contracted for one season but the overwhelming betrayal I feel is almost as bad Daphne when she found out the Duke lied to her about how babies are made.
I’m not saying I won’t watch season 2, because what else do I have to do? But I am saying that I will be watching through tear-filled eyes.
Losing Regé honestly feels like we’re going through a break-up. But I guess the silver lining is that Bridgerton introduced us to this spectacularly handsome man and he’s going to be on our screens a lot more.
Apparently, he recently finished filming a spy-thriller for Netflix called, “The Gray Man” which also stars Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, and Billy Bob Thorton. Rege will also be in “Dungeons and Dragons” starring Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez. There are even rumors he’s in the running for James Bond after Daniel Craig retires.
The point is Regé is fine (in more ways than one ;)). Although we will miss him burning for Daphne in Bridgerton, we’re more than happy to see him and that sexy accent spread his wings and become the star we all know he is.
Yours Truly,
Making Fetch
