We have all been waiting for Drake to reveal his 2-year-old son Adonis after Pusha-T released his diss track, “Story of Adidon”, back in 2018 and last week we finally got our wish.

On March 30, Drake posted a series of photos of him, Adonis, and Adonis’ mother Sophie Brasseux introducing his little blonde hair, blue-eyed son to the world for the first time.

The parents seem to be all smiles in the photos, but the relationship between Sophie and Drake has not always been smooth sailing.

Everyone knows that Drake wants that fairytale relationship. He even has a number of Birkin Bags stored away for his future wife. What a man! In most of his songs the rapper references the poor relationship between his mother and his father and how he doesn’t want to follow in those footsteps.

Unfortunately, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Back in 2018, when Drake guest stared on Lebron James’ HBO talk show The Shop, Drake spoke about Adonis and the relationship with Sophie saying that he’s, “a single father learning to communicate with a woman who … we’ve had our moments.”

“I do want to be able to explain to my son what happened,” said Drake. “But I don’t have any desire for him to not love his mother. I don’t ever want the world to be angry at his mother. No matter what happens, I have unconditional love for the mother of my child because I want him to love his mother and I have to project that energy.”

But two years later it seems as though feelings have changed.

In his song “When To Say When”, which was released earlier this year, Drake called his baby mother a “fluke” which did not sit well with his fans.

This post of Adonis shows the rapper’s growth captioning under the photo, “It doesn’t matter what has happened in the past or what is happening in the past or what is happening around us now, you can always make the choice to break free of the wheel of suffering and panic and open up to your own light.”

Im glad that the parents are willing to co-parent for Adonis’ sake.
