The Golden Globes are equivalent to that one extra circular you needed to graduate but it’s so easy that you don’t even have to show up to pass. Like it’s serious but not really. At the Globes, everyone gets boozy and the host can kind of get away with saying anything. Award Show season is off to a great start with literally the most interesting show of the season. If you didn’t have 3 hours to watch the entire show, I’ve got the cliff notes with the most captivating moments.
The Host
For the 5th year, Ricky Gervais took the stage to host the 77th Golden Globe Awards and he did not disappoint. He tore into literally all of Hollywood’s elite, Apple and Disney. It was glorious but also a little cringeworthy. He reminded me why award shows need hosts. Because after the Oscars decided to forego a host, I was kind of on the no-host train but Ricky was hilarious and did a wonderful job hosting so I’m back on the award show host train.
Nick and Priyanka
Can these two be any cuter? I mean honestly.
Beyonce and Jay Z
These two never walk red carpets anymore and we literally had no idea they were in attendance until the cameras randomly panned to them in the audience applauding. My actual reaction was confused at first but then I remembered she was nominated for Best Original Song. She didn’t win the Golden Globe but she definitely killed the fashion game. All hail Queen Bey!

Brad Pitt
Okay, is it just me or does it seem like Brad Pitt is aging backward? Total Benjamin Button vibes. Because I swear last year he looked like an older homeless gentleman but now he’s totally cleaned it up and looks like he’s on the track to becoming the Brad we all know and love. Not that that scruffy beard wasn’t totally hot but ya know, let’s just say divorce did the man good lol.
Oh and let’s not forget about that Titanic reference. After praising Leo for his spectacular work alongside him in “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood”, Brad said, “Still, I would have shared the raft.

Pierce Brosnan’s sons
Alright, so you know those people that are there on stage to escort the celebrities off the stage and let them know they are headed in the wrong direction? This year the coveted job went to Pierce Brosnan sons. They were there to support a charity and they made sure to talk about it on the carpet as well as during the segmented time during the show. But I was skeptical. Like, do they really to support this charity or did they just want to be on TV? And I could be completely off base and Pierce and his wife raised philanthropic boys but I’m just saying I was a little iffy on that. But good for them for raising money for this charity.
Brad and Jen
It was an exciting night because Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were in the same room and I just knew there would be some interaction between them on the carpet or some behind the scenes shot of them hugging backstage. And alas there was a moment. Not as exciting as I originally thought. When Brad was accepting his award, the camera panned to Jennifer Anniston. All we got was the reaction on her face and of course, it was lovely as is Jennifer Anniston.

Tom Hanks Accepts Cecil B Demil Award
This was such a sweet moment because, I mean, who doesn’t love Tom Hanks, ami right? He even got a little choked up when he saw his family sitting in the audience. Tom Hanks, we love you bud.
Lisa Bonet and Jason Mamoa
God bless this couple because they literally kill the carpet every single time and honestly are the cutest people to me. Also, Jason presented an award with Lisa Bonet’s daughter and I just love it when they have moments together. So stinking cute.
